“Bring Your Kids to Work”…Youngone Corporation Strengthens Family‑Friendly Culture with Annual Employee Children’s Day

 

[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] On August 13, Youngone Corporation welcomed 29 children of its employees, aged between 5 and 12, to its Seoul headquarters in Jung‑gu for the company’s annual “Bring Your Kids to Work” event.

 

The program gave children the chance to experience their parents’ workplace first‑hand — including activities such as joining a virtual meeting with employees at Youngone’s overseas factories.

 

To make the day more memorable, Youngone presented each child with an honorary employee badge and gifts, and organized a variety of engaging activities: drawing at their parents’ desks, writing thank‑you cards to mom or dad, a stamp‑collecting building tour, and recreational sessions.

 

“My child has always been curious about my daily work. Being able to see it in person was both exciting and fascinating for them,” said Song Myung‑hee, Manager at Youngone’s Export Sales Division, who participated in the event.

 

The initiative was originally conceived by Vice Chairman Sung Rae‑eun and has been held annually since 2015, with the exception of the pandemic years. It has been widely credited with fostering stronger family bonds as well as enhancing employees’ sense of belonging to the company.

 

“Through this event, colleagues can see each other not just in their professional roles, but as someone’s mom or dad,” Vice Chairman Sung said. “It widens mutual understanding among employees and supports a family‑friendly culture in which our people can better balance work and life. We will continue to actively support this vision.”

 

Beyond the annual event, Youngone has introduced a range of family‑friendly policies: a monthly childcare allowance of 200,000 KRW for employees with children under six; flexible work hours for parents of children up to the second grade of elementary school; a transportation stipend of 1 million KRW for pregnant employees; and congratulatory gifts and allowances for children’s school admissions.
