In the video 'Anyway, Global in Saudi Arabia' posted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on its official YouTube channel on the afternoon of the 21st, a map was exposed that marked the East Sea as the Sea of Japan.

On the 6th of this month, Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups (MSS), visited Saudi Arabia to attend the largest startup forum in the Middle East, ‘Vivaan’, and held a series of bilateral meetings with key Saudi SME and startup partners, requesting support for the smooth advancement of our companies.

A mistake occurred in a promotional video announcing the results of Minister Oh Young-joo's visit to Saudi Arabia, where the East Sea was mistakenly referred to as the Sea of Japan.

The video, which was uploaded around 2:30 PM that day, stayed for about 30 minutes and has now been deleted.

Netizens said, "It's hard to believe that a government agency made a mistake that even a regular private company wouldn't make," and "I hope that even Koreans will not make the mistake of incorrectly writing the East Sea, even though mistakes are made occasionally overseas."
