[뉴스스페이스=이승원 기자] 앞으로 사망 사고를 일으킨 항공사는 1년간 운항이 제한된다. 국토교통부는 30일 공항 시설, 항공사 정비·운항 체계, 항공 안전 감독 강화 등 항공 안전 전반에 대한 개선 대책인 '항공안전 혁신 방안'을 발표했다. 이 내용에 따르면 항공사 대상 '항공안전 성과지표'를 신설해 성과가 미흡한 항공사는 집중 점검하고 필요시 신규 노선허가 제한을 검토한다. 연간 활주로·유도로 이탈, 항공기 간 접촉, 화재, 비행 중 엔진정지, 회항 건수 등을 기준으로 할 예정이다. 특히 사망자 발생 사고를 일으킨 항공사에는 1년간 운수권을 배분하지 않는다. 다만, 항공사의 안전 확보 노력과 성과가 확인되면 배분 심사에 반영한다. 또 항공사들의 비행 전·후 점검 및 중간 점검 등 정비시간을 늘린다. 우선 올해 10월 중 최근 사고가 발생한 B737과 A320F 기종에 대해 7.1∼28% 연장하고, 다른 기종에도 올해 말부터 새 기준을 적용한다.
