[뉴스스페이스=이승원 기자] 테슬라 CEO를 맡고 있는 일론 머스크의 인공지능(AI) 기업 xAI 홀딩스가 200억 달러(28조7000억원) 규모의 투자 유치를 추진하고 있다. 26일(현지시각) 블룸버그통신 보도에 따르면, xAI가 초기 투자 협상을 진행하고 있으며 최종 조달 금액은 200억 달러를 초과할 가능성도 있다고 보도했다. 만약 이 투자 유치가 성사될 경우, AI기업 중에서는 최근 400억달러를 유치한 오픈AI에 이어 역대 두 번째 규모가 된다. xAI 홀딩스는 올해 3월 머스크의 AI 스타트업 xAI와 소셜미디어 기업 엑스(X)가 통합해 출범한 법인으로, 현재 기업가치는 1200억 달러 이상으로 추정된다. 통합 당시 각각 800억 달러(xAI)와 330억 달러(엑스)로 평가받았다. 머스크는 AI와 소셜미디어 엑스(X)를 결합한 신규 사업 모델을 구축하는 과정에서 대규모 투자를 추진 중이다. 빅테크 업계는 이번 투자 유치가 성공할 경우 엑스(X, 옛 트위터)의 막대한 부채 부담도 해결 할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 현재 엑스는 매달 약 2억 달러, 연간 13억 달러 이상의 이자 비용을 지출하고 있다. 미국 IT 전문지 테크크런치는 "xAI 투자 추진
