[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] On April 21 (local time), Nongshim opened its first “Shin Ramyun Snack Bar” near the world-renowned tourist destination, Machu Picchu in Peru. With this move, Nongshim aims to expand contact points with global consumers visiting Machu Picchu and offer them an experiential introduction to the Nongshim ramyun brand.
The Shin Ramyun Snack Bar in Peru is located in Aguas Calientes, the essential gateway to Machu Picchu, and spans three floors. The first floor serves as an experiential space where visitors can cook and taste ramyun themselves. The second and third floors are exhibition areas that showcase the history of Shin Ramyun and Nongshim’s key product portfolio, illustrating its growth as a global brand.
Nongshim plans to expand its presence by opening Shin Ramyun Snack Bars at major tourist attractions around the world, promoting the spicy flavor of Shin Ramyun and the Nongshim brand to international consumers. A new branch is set to open in Asia within the first half of this year, and the company is reviewing additional locations at key global landmarks.
A Nongshim official stated, “Just like the Shin Ramyun experience zones in Jungfrau, Switzerland — the 'roof of Europe' — and Punta Arenas, Chile — the southernmost city on Earth — we hope the Shin Ramyun Snack Bar becomes a popular hotspot for enjoying global landmarks in more exciting ways. We will continue to strengthen experiential marketing efforts to directly engage with consumers worldwide.”
